At VIMC we use the Philips CX50 ultrasound which is the premium point of care mobile ultrasound. The CX50 does not sacrifice performance and image quality for portability and is designed for critical study requirements and big system performance. This allows Veterinary Internal Medicine Consultants to bring ultrasound to your clinic with confidence in imaging.

All ultrasounds are performed by a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, board certified in small animal internal medicine, which allows for expert clinical interpretation. Additionally, ultrasound-guided procedures including; cystocentesis, abdominocentesis, thoracocentesis, ultrasound guided fine needle aspirates, Tru-cut biopsies, and cholecystocentesis can be performed in your clinic to optimise case management where indicated.

Immediately following all ultrasounds you will be provided with a verbal report a detailed written report will be emailed to your clinic and recommendations provided within 24 hours.

We can offer the below ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided procedures 24hrs a day 7 days a week:

• Complete abdominal ultrasound
• Ultrasound-guided procedures including cystocentesis, fine needle aspirates, Tru-cut biopsies, Abdominocentesis, thoracocentesis
• Emergency cardiac echocardiogram and pericardiocentesis if required
• Small parts ultrasound: Parathyroid glands etc.
